Åsa Lindsjö own studio

Sanitetsbuddha - Sanitary Buddha - was a project in 2007 when Åsa Lindsjö made an installation in a Swedish church with 300 porcelain sculptures.
Åsa Lindsjös studio is neighboring to the sanitary porcelain factory IFÖ in Bromölla,Sweden. One of her recent and most estimated projects was to make sculptures molded from cows salt licks.
This porcelain sculpture is one of the 300 Sanitary Buddhas. It is signed and numbered 149/300.

Early 1930s beauty by Åke and Atte Holm.

Between 1928 and 1933 Åke Holm and his brother Atte Holm had their own studio in Höganäs. Atte Holm moved from Höganäs and continued as a fine but not very appreciated ceramist, while Åke Holm became one of the most respected ceramic artist in Sweden, especially for his stoneware sculptures with biblical motifs.
This vase from the Holm brothers studio is a fine example of Åke Holms austere manner.

Mette Doller, own studio Höganäs

Unique stoneware vase with incised pattern. Dansish artist Mette Doller was employed at Andersson & Johansson (A&J Höganäs) in 1953, mainly to lead the decoration studio where the goods was painted. In the 60s she opened her own studio on Bornholm, Denmark.
This vase is not marked as an A&J product and is probably made by Mette Doller "off duty".

Stoneware vases by Cecilia Kraitz, one of the most interesting Swedish contemporary ceramists. Daughter of highly respected ceramists Ulla and Gustav Kraitz, Cecilia has her own studio in B�stad where she explores the raku technique to fulfillnes. Theese vases are covered by creamy celadonish glaze and are incised Cecilia Kraitz 2005 and -04 (right).
